Shiwa Ng'andu is reasonably well signposted off the main road to Isoka and Nakonde; the turn-off (GPS: TUSHIW) is about 87km northeast of Mpika. The main Shiwa Ng'andu manor house (GPS: SHIWAH) is about 13km from this turn-off. The road then continues westwards to Kapishya Hot Springs and on to the Mpika–Kasama road.

Alternatively Shiwa can be reached directly from the Mpika–Kasama road; again turn off about 87km from Mpika (GPS: TUKAPI). It's then a little over 30km to Kapisha, and about half of that again to the manor house. With a post office at Shiwa, the estate may be linked to Mpika by a post bus at some time in the future; inquire at Mpika about the latest situation.
