About 5km from the centre of town, on the north side of the Kaoma/Lusaka road, this fairly old establishment is laid out like a traditional motel, with parking spaces outside some of the rooms. Inside these are spartan and dated, but generally very clean. The single rooms and cheaper doubles share bathrooms and toilets, whilst the more expensive doubles are en suite.

Other plausible options to consider are the Kuso Guest House (PO Box: 910281, Mongu; tel: 07 221781 or 221933) which is just behind the Total garage
(GPS:TOTAL) on the south side of the Lusaka/Kaoma road, and the (old) Cross Roads Guest House (tel: 07 221649), which is on the same side of the road, but much nearer to the main intersection. It's owned by the same people as the New Cross Roads Guest House. There's also Winters Guest House, Restaurant & Pleasure Resort between the old and new markets – it's used by the occasional backpacker, but isn't at all quiet or pleasant.
