Fishing

Amongst the angling fraternity, the Zambezi River is synonymous with great fishing for prized tiger fish and Zambezi bream. If you dream of hooking a 'tiger' then a memorable day on the river with a knowledgeable guide leading you to the finest fishing spot can help make it come true. Angle Zambia with excellent local knowledge and friendly, personalised service is highly recommended. Owner-operated by Gerard and Viv Simpson, they run half- and full-day fishing trips in the upper Zambezi waters, about 30km from Livingstone. Catering to both novice and experienced anglers as well as fly fishermen, angle Zambia is well-outfitted with three 6m aluminium boats complete with fish finders, sunshades and radio communications to their base. Trips are fully inclusive of fishing equipment, tackle, boat hire, fuel, transfers, qualified guide and refreshments. The company can also arrange multi-day fishing excursions to Mwandi (about 200km upriver) for world-class angling during the prime fishing season, which runs from June to September.

Rates: US$85 half-day and US$110 full-day including lunch. Multi-day trips upon request.
