Victoria Falls (The town)
The Zimbabwean town of Victoria Falls is less than 2km south of the Zambezi, which marks Zimbabwe's border with Zambia. Until the political problems of 2001, it had the vibrant buzz of a thriving tourist centre. However, since then many visitors have stayed away, and even the touts selling carvings seem to have lost their sense of humour. For this edition, this section has been curtailed to give just an overview of the range of options and facilities in the town. Where prices are given, these are highly variable.
