This is a small satellite camp of Lunga River Lodge, which stands on the Busanga Plains about three hours' drive from Lunga. Accommodation is simple, in one of four small reed-and-thatch chalets, each with en-suite shower (hot and cold water) and long-drop toilet. These are dotted around a small fig-tree island in the middle of the flat, open plains.

The trees also shade the comfortable central 'mess tent' where you'll dine and drink. Meals are often prepared over an open fire – so this is a close-to-nature experience, with plenty of super game around you. Activities are mostly drives, both day and night – the terrain is too flat and open for walking close to game on foot – though short bird-spotting walks are easily arranged.
