Previously known as Samango, when it was considerably more popular, this self-catering site is primarily geared to canoe safaris, with basic facilities and an equipped kitchen with all the essentials. Its small Meru-style tents, each with twin beds and a small porch, occupy shaded sites overlooking the river. Campers (you'll need to be fully self-sufficient) have the choice of sandy pitches or grassy sites by the river. Stone ablution blocks have hot and cold showers. Although there's a bar here, it is open only when there's a canoe safari group on site.
