Sindabezi Island

4 chalets) contact via Tongabezi, above
Sindabezi Island is a short, 2km boat trip downstream from its parent lodge, Tongabezi. This small sandy island has just four thatched en-suite chalets, beautifully appointed with twin or double beds, and carefully spaced around the shores of the island for maximum privacy. A relaxed bar area with teak decking, surrounded by tall ebony trees, is the setting for sumptuous meals cooked by the island's own chef. It's all wonderfully private, an island hideaway with no electricity from which you can explore the river and surrounding islands with your own guide. Elephants and hippos are frequent visitors, and activities include canoeing, boating, walking, fishing and birdwatching, as well as all activities run at Tongabezi itself.
